Purpose

The Pan Asian Council strives to:

• Address the diverse needs and concerns of Pan Asian members on campus

• Act as a voice for Pan Asian-identified faculty, staff, and students

• Serve as a formalized liaison between staff, faculty, students, and the greater University of Iowa communities

• Support the University of Iowa effort towards recruitment and retention of faculty, staff and students

History

The University of Iowa Pan Asian Council was established in the Fall of 2019 by a group of faculty, staff, and graduate students in response to issues raised by their constituencies who historically have been underrepresented in institutions of higher education.
